Our Programs
Financial Literacy
Personal finance classes for both youth and adults are built into our youth educational programming, reentry program, and our neighbor program. Ensure everyone we work with has a basic understanding of personal finance.
The Parent Project
Learn how to never argue with your child again, improve school performance and attendance, prevent or intervene in alcohol or other drug use, and much more! This 10-week series is designed specifically for parents of strong-willed or out-of-control teenagers. Participants meet weekly for 2-hour sessions. Registration is required.
Cooking Class
Cooking classes are a great way to explore new cuisines, learn new culinary skills, and connect with others who share your passion for food. Cooking class is also a great way to meet new people and make friends who share your interests. Whether you're looking to improve your cooking skills, try new recipes, or just have fun, our cooking class is a wonderful way to do it.
Fitness Class
Our fitness classes are an excellent way to stay active and healthy while having fun and socializing.
Community Breakfast
Instead of following the traditional soup kitchen model, we organize a community breakfast for our homeless neighbors and volunteers. This allows us to build relationships with them and work together to provide life skills, vocational training, and housing assistance. Over the past three years, we have been able to assist 16 individuals, helping them transition from homelessness to maintaining full-time employment and their own housing. Many of our past clients now volunteer with us on a weekly basis, as we continue to help others in need.
Peer to Peer Support Group
Peer-to-peer support groups are a valuable resource for individuals who are facing difficult challenges in their lives. These groups are typically made up of individuals who share a common experience or struggle, such as addiction, mental health issues, or chronic illness. Members come together to share their experiences, offer support and encouragement to one another, and provide a safe space to discuss their feelings and concerns. Peer-to-peer support groups are often led by trained facilitators who can help guide the discussion and provide resources and information. The sense of community and shared experience that these groups provide can be incredibly helpful for those who may feel isolated or alone in their struggles.
